Final Design

 

This is the chosen colour I am using for my character.

After drawing up a neat version of my character I came up with these four colours for my character. 

Here is a neat up drawing of my character. After this I will colour and draw over the outlines.

Character Designs

I then came up with this character later on. I thought It would be fun to create a crocodile that he lives with and does the cooking, cleaning etc while he's out hunting. 

Hes sensible, clever , tidy , good cook and likes to be in control of everything. 

Here is a character sheet of a character i initially created with the crocodile hunter. He was meant to be his sidekick for him a bit like Mugsy for Rocky. He was a big, happy, strong but not so bright character. 

Character Ideas 02

I ended up designing him without eyes. I liked this because it made him look like he lacked expressions and only has one facial expression that shows every emotion he has. Plus, it reminded me of Rocky from looney tunes. 

This character I created came from watching this TV show 'Swamp People'. The show is about Crocodile Hunters and it is a documentary on them doing their daily routine trying to capture crocodiles.

This is what stage I enjoy most about animation. A pencil and a piece of paper and just drawing whatever comes into my head! 

Here are my first initial character designs I created. I wasn't sure whether design a human or animal character so i decided to do both. I find this the easiest way to start coming up with a good character to design. 

What are my skills?

I believe I have good narrative skills along with strong drawing and storyboarding. Confident with creating character designs and layouts. Comfortable using software, Photoshop, After Affects.

What is the Showreel going to say about me?

My showreel will be personal and with explain what im all about and where my work will play in the industry.  It will show my narrative skills with my strong drawings. What style I'm interested in. It will also feature work I do in my spare time.
